UConn researcher recognized as top ten world expert in bird influenza
Assistant Professor Dong-Hun Lee of the Department of Pathobiology and Veterinary Science was recently ranked 8th in top experts around the world for his research on avian influenza viruses by Expertscape. The ranking puts Lee in the top 0.048 percent of researchers writing about the influenza virus in birds around the world over the past decade.
The ranking is calculated by the number of medical journal articles the researcher has published in the last ten years, author order on publications, and the ranking of the institution from which the article appeared. Expertscape then tallies the scores for all articles, authors, institutions, cities, regions, and countries, and then graphically outputs the results on web pages.
Lee’s research was recently featured on the CAHNR Newsroom.
