Kinesiology faculty member part of research team recognized by APS
Distinguished Professor Linda Pescatello of the Department of Kinesiology was a member of a research team recognized for their poster presentation at the 2020 Virtual Meeting of the American Psychosomatic Society (APS), held December 3-4.
The researcher team’s virtual poster presentation, “The role of negative cognitions and mood in the association between post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms and resting heart rate variability,” received the Citation Poster Award and was awarded 2nd Place Poster in the Psychosomatic Affective Neuroscience group.
In addition to Pescatello, the research team included Professor Crystal Park in the UConn Department of Psychological Sciences; Sharon Lee, UConn doctoral candidate in psychological sciences; and Burak Cilhoroz ’19 (CAHNR), doctoral student at Syracuse University.
An abstract of their work will be published in an upcoming issue of Psychosomatic Medicine.
