UConn Today shared an article with Emeritus Professor Robert Pomeroy, who retired in the spring from his position as an extension specialist and marine resource economist with Connecticut Sea Grant (CTSG) and the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, reflecting on his career. The article first appeared in the Fall/Winter 2020-2021 issue of Wrack Lines, the official biannual magazine of CTSG.
UConn Today discussed the history of Hawley Armory, which is currently being used as a site for on-campus employee COVID-19 testing. The building was constructed in 1914 when UConn was the Storrs Agriculture College. Since a renovation in the 1990s, Hawley Armory has been used for fitness programs by UConn Recreation and the Department of Allied Health Sciences.
