UConn Today featured research Kumar Venkitanarayanan recently published as part of a team that explored ways to reduce nosocomial infections, diseases that are acquired in a hospital, using metals and metalloids. Venkitanarayanan is associate dean for research and graduate studies and an animal science professor in CAHNR. The research was also featured in Science Daily and mentioned in a research roundup in BioSpace.

Nancy Rodriguez was quoted in Family Circle on protein consumption. Rodriquez is a professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences. She is also a registered dietitian and a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine.
