Megan Davenport selected as Connecticut National FFA Officer Candidate
Each state may recommend one candidate for the National FFA Office annually. National FFA Officers dedicate one year of service with the organization. The time is spent representing student membership during meetings with the National FFA Board of Directors, facilitating workshops that bring leadership and knowledge to FFA members, delivering motivational speeches and serving as advocates for FFA on a global scale.
National FFA Officers are selected by a nominating committee at the National FFA Convention & Expo. A committee of nine FFA members carries out the responsibility of interviewing and selecting six student members to represent the organization as a National FFA Officer. This year’s National FFA Convention & Expo is being held in Indianapolis and begins on October 28.
