Two CAHNR communicators received awards recently as part of the Association for Communication Excellence in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Life and Human Sciences (ACE) Critique and Awards Program.
In the social media campaign category, Program Specialist in Educational Outreach Stacey Stearns was given the gold award for Social Media Single Item Overall. Stearns, who is part of UConn Extension, won for “an individual social media post that is not part of an overall campaign.”
Stearns shared in another award with Department of Extension Graphic Designer Kara Bonsack in the marketing and media relations category. The two garnered a bronze award for a Marketing Communications Campaign with Budget under $1,000 by successfully documenting “efforts to promote or market an educational, research or institutional program or product.”
The awards were announced at the ACE meeting in June in San Antonio, Texas.
