newspaper readersSan Francisco Chronicle touched on CRISPR and crops and mentioned the work of Professor Yi Li using CRISPR to engineer citrus trees. Li is on the faculty of the Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture.

WNPR All Things Considered featured Professor Gerry Berkowitz from the Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture. It talked about how students at UConn now have the opportunity to enroll in a cannabis horticulture course. See also NBC News.

The Daily Campus quoted Professor and Head of the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment Jason Vokoun about wild geese at UConn. He urged what he called a “symbiotic coexistence” between students and wildlife on campus.

UConn Today depicted several CAHNR people and places in its year-end photo slideshow. They are Korey Stringer Institute, alumna Bliss Da Silva, robotic milking, researcher Kumar Venkitanarayanan and NRE faculty Ashley Helton and Beth Lawrence.
