UConn Today. 10-28-16. Featured the undergraduate IDEA grant project of graphic design student Raeanne Nuzzo, who is the current Gavitt Professional Communications Student in the CAHNR Office of Communications. Nuzzo researched fear culture and designed posters that used images and words from the current presidential campaigns.

UConn Today. 10-28-16. Depicted pathobiology student Tessa Kell discussing her research at the Fall Frontiers in Undergraduate Research Poster Exhibition at the Wilbur Cross Building on October 26.

STAT. 10-31-16. Included comments by Jennifer Harris about a study that surveyed past research articles to see if there is a connection between sugary drinks or snacks and obesity. UConn Engaged. October 2016. Announced that animal science alumni, Laurie Macha, Josh Davis and Eric Fox, will speak at UConn on November 12 about “From Poultry to Penguins! What Came After UConn.” They will share what led them to their careers and why their current work at Mystic Aquarium is so important to endangered African penguins.

UConn Today. 11-1-16. Reported on the results of Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity’s study of how baby and toddler food and drinks are marketed. The article quoted Associate Professor Jennifer Harris, the lead author of the study, and mentioned Professor Valerie Duffy‘s collaboration in the research. UConn Today. 11-2-16.  Mentioned that  Kristen Vinciguerra, an allied health sciences student and a UConn women’s soccer player, was named to the American Athletic Conference all-rookie team for her performance in 2016.

The Daily Campus. 11-3-16. Interviewed Assistant Extension Professor Ana Legrand for an article about lady beetles that are clustering inside some campus buildings. Legrand is part of plant science and landscape architecture.

UConn Alumni website. November 2016. Acknowledged the winners of their 2017 life member calendar photo contest. Several scenes around and about CAHNR were chosen for the calendar, which is an exclusive benefit for UConn Alumni life members.
