Patsy Evans

Patsy, an Office of Communications publicity and marketing administrator, has a BA in journalism from Penn State. Her varied experience, obtained during her 29 years with the College, includes rearing insects for biological control, writing research grant proposals and assisting in web development.


Kim Colavito Markesich

Kim Markesich is a graduate of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture. She has been a freelance writer for the College since 1994.


Kevin Noonan

A graphic designer in the Office of Communications, Kevin earned his BFA from UConn in 2005. He has worked for several departments within the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources since 2004.


 Sara Putnam

Sara is director of the College’s Office of Communications. She has a BA and an MA, both in English, from UConn. She is also assistant to the dean for human resources.


Michelle Sarta

Michelle was a Gavitt Professional Writing Experience Student in the Office of Communications and enjoys writing. She recently received a bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences.


Jason M. Sheldon

Jason is a marketing and publicity coordinator in the Office of Communications. He has a BA in cinema and cultural studies from Stony Brook University and an MA in cinema studies from New York University.


Nancy Weiss

Nancy is a columnist for a regional newspaper and a freelance writer for several other publications, including the magazine Edible Nutmeg. She is a development consultant for Connecticut Farmland Trust and on the board of CTHumanities. She enjoyed her career experiences as assistant director and program leader for the College’s Cooperative Extension System and as the College’s first director of development.
